Giveaways

I think that blogging giveaways bring a lot of happiness don't you?

I mean the person hosting the giveaway gets all the fun and excitement of lots of comments and choosing the recipient.

And the winner of the giveaway, well they get the gift don't they.

My friends over at Renaissance have decided to give away a book they have just finished reading. I think that is a lovely idea, the book will go on to be read by someone else rather than sit on a book shelf for maybe years before being opened again.

The book that is being given away is called Footsteps in the Dark and it's written by Georgette Heyer. I expect most of us know Georgette Heyer as a writer of historical romance but this one is a murder mystery.

You'll find the giveaway here at Renaissance Newsletter.

So what's making you happy?

So Agatha Christie Week seems to have lasted me a month or so...
Not that it has taken me a month to read just one book but with the
chillier evening it's been nice to curl up with a good book.
It really does make me happy!

Agatha Christie Week makes me happy

It's Agatha Christie Week
now that makes me happy because I love reading Agatha Christie.
At one time I had every single one of her Miss Marple books in paperback,
I gave them to a neighbour as my book shelves were overflowing. Something I sometimes regret but oh well it made her happy ....
Anyway this week I intend to indulge myself by reading some Agatha Christie only this time I think I'll visit the library and borrow the books rather than buy them.
Free books now that is enough to make anyone happy.
What's been amking you happy since we last spoke?
