Well mostly because some big things just have to be shared too,
don't they?
Little, inconsequential things that maybe one takes for granted
but they actually make one happy.
Things like:
My morning cuppa - Tetleys' in a big pink mug.
My afternoon tea - Lady Grey in a vintage bone china cup and saucer.
The first plum of the season that I picked fat and juicy straight from the tree yesterday.
Getting comments on my first post - thank you, thank you, thank you.
The Amazon delivery containing that book, you know
the one that you've wanted to read for simply ages.
Discovering that this blog has followers - thank you, thank you, thank you.
Eating an egg laid by your very own hens.
That daisy in the lawn, Battenburgh cake and....
Oh so many things that make you happy.
Ooh, Battenburg cake! Not available in France...
ReplyDeleteWe bought the boys some when we visited the UK last year. They quite liked it, but I guess they'd prefer a crepe with Nutella - we are a mixed culture family now!
One thing that does make them very happy when we get back to the UK is to have a ceremonial fish and chip supper! We ate our annual one in slight drizzle on Edinburgh's Royal Mile a few weeks ago.
Thanks so much for your anniversary wishes. We had a lovely anniversary - next year is a big one!
